United Nations ICT Body lists Digital Impact Awards Africa among Major ICT Projects
International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the United Nations specialized agency for Information and Communication Technologies- ICTs; has listed Digital Impact Awards Africa among the major ICT projects and events that will celebrate ITU’s 150th Anniversary.
Digital Impact Awards Africa is an internationally recognized platform that promotes digital inclusion, financial inclusion and cybersecurity under the theme ”Maximizing the Digital Dividend”.
This comes against a backdrop of Digital Impact Awards Africa championing innovation and application of best practice, to foster sustainability of digital innovations, products and services that will deliver maximum digital dividend across Africa.
“We are excited for DIAA to be one of the few ICT projects in the world that have been profiled as ITU celebrates 150 years of excellent service” said Innocent Kawooya, Partner, Cyberplc Limited and CEO HiPipo (U) Limited. “We shall dedicate part of DIAA exhibitions and expositions to ITU’s 150th Anniversary” added Innocent.
Submission for DIAA 2015 entry closed on Monday 25th May and nominations will be out on Monday 8th June.
