2013: Uganda Top 10 Corporate Brands on Social Media
MTN Uganda was the most popular brand on social-media in Uganda in 2013. According to statistics that were compiled by HiPipo.com and Cyberplc Limited, data was compiled across Facebook, Twitter and other sites to come up with a top 10 list.
MTN Uganda was the most popular brand on Facebook with 150K NEW LIKES. It earned at least 163K new followers across multiple platforms in the past 12 months. In less than 7 months since it held a massive Facebook 100K Fans party, MTN Uganda followers on Facebook have doubled!
This year, MTN Uganda got almost all its news on Social Media and timely! Its promotions like the We Believe Campaign, and the latest MTNXmasMasavu were highly innovative and awesome!
NTV came in second place, largely due to a one hundred forty thousand (140K) -follower increase on Facebook and Twitter.
The New Vision grabbed the bronze after its high-rated Facebook content that stretches to social, political and economic issues among others. The New Vision got 108K NEW Followersacross different platforms this year.
