Held on Friday, 15th November at the Kampala Serena Hotel, the Digital Impact Awards Africa celebrated individuals and organisations that are spearheading Uganda and Africa’s Digital Inclusion, Financial Inclusion, and Cyber Security. The Awards further recognised stakeholders who are spearheading the use of digital mediums to serve communities.

They were held as part of this year’s Digital and Financial Inclusion Summit, a platform that explores strategic trends and technologies that are shaping the future of Digital, ICTs, and Business across the continent.

Hon. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo reechoed the government’s commitment to achieving last-mile digital and financial inclusion, noting that digitization, if well used, will cure most of Uganda’s problems, mainly poverty and unemployment.
