Among the most prevalent are games, social networking, maps, news, business, Sports, Classifieds, weather and travel information. All of these leverage at least one of the device’s technical features: communications interfaces (Wi-Fi, WiBro/mobile WiMAX, GSM/EDGE, W-CDMA/UMTS/HSPA and Bluetooth among others), audio and video processors, camera, sensors or GPS module.

Airtel Money
The Airtel Money app provides payment experience for recharges, instant money transfers to contacts, shops & bank accounts plus bill payments.  The app gives customers a better user experience compared to USSD that is limiting in the terms of functionality and information that can be delivered.

Barclays Uganda
Barclays Uganda free mobile banking app is a Barclays branch on your mobile phone or tablet that allows simple and secure banking. It delivers functionality such as view your account statement, transfer money to own Barclays accounts, request a cheque book, locate the Barclays Uganda branch or ATM closest to where you are and get in direct touch with Barclays from your phone.

 eLaw Uganda
eLaw Uganda app contributes to enhanced access to justice through Information Communication Technology (ICT), with the aim of creating easy access to information about human rights and justice.

HelloFood
HelloFood App allows users to order for food online and have it delivered to them. It shows a whole range of available restaurants and cuisines from which a user can place their order.

Kaymu Online
Kaymu Online app is practically an online marketplace that offers a single platform to both, buyers and sellers. It grants convenience in the buying and selling an assortment of goods, which makes it a prime online market place.

NSSF
NSSF App allows customers to check their statements using their mobile gadgets.

NWSC Mobile
Through NWSC mobile app, the customers are able to make payments for their accounts (if they are registered with mobile money of any network), check their outstanding balances and download mini statements among other things.

OLX
The OLX App provides users with the chance of buying and selling goods. This can practically be anything, ranging from cars, furniture, laptops, cameras, TVs and appliances.

Postbank Uganda
With Postbank Uganda app, customers are empowered to carry out financial transactions by simply utilizing any internet enabled mobile phone, as long as they register their usernames and accounts at any Post Bank Uganda branch

Tikiti
Tikiti App offers users a whole range of information regarding events such as a list of all events including movies, clubs, sports, fashion, restaurants on the go. An event locator that uses the phone GPS to offer directions to different events, booking and paying for the event ticket directly through the app’s payment system, ticket validation through an app inbuilt scanner, ticket sharing through platforms such as Whatsapp, Messenger and email
