The Best Radio Station on Social Media: Nominees

Kamplala, July 11, 2014:   Digital Impact Awards Africa, #DIAA, has today announced the nominations for “Best Radio Station on Social Media” for the inaugural awards ceremony to be held on 22 August 2014.

Radio in Uganda and Africa has over the last three decades been one of the major drivers of livelihoods of the people through its role as an active information delivery medium.  With the advent of the internet web, mobile and social, radio stations that will continue to thrive will have to fully embrace digital media.

The “Best Radio Station on Social Media” category with 10 nominees out of over 150 radio stations in Uganda will award and recognize the radio station that has the best embracement of social media to provide information and infotainment.  The Best Radio Station on Social Media nominees are

2. 106.5 DIGIDA FM
3. 88.2 Sanyu FM
4. 91.3 Capital FM
5. 93.3 KFM
6. 97FM Radiocity
7. CBS
8. Galaxy FM 100.2
9. HOT 100
10. XFM 94.8

As with other categories, winners of The Best Radio Station on Social Media will be decided by both the public and the jury.
