Digital Impact Awards Africa (DIAA) 2015 Best Financial Inclusion Impact category focuses on organizations that have been able to deliver digital financial services at affordable costs to sections of society that would otherwise be left out by conventional financial services. All the four nominees in this category are heavy weights in promoting financial inclusion.

Airtel Money
Airtel money has made it possible for subscribers to send and receive money, buy airtime, pay utility bills and make ATM cash withdrawals among several other benefits. Its network stability and the ability by subscribers to send money across networks remains some of its strongest points.  In 2014/20015 Airtel Money added a mobile app as another access channel supplementing USSD access.  Additionally among other major additions to Airtel Money, Airtel partnered with GSMA Connected Women to design and launch a mobile wallet for savings groups furthering financial inclusion in this segment of citizens.

Centenary Bank
Kicking off as a Rural Development Bank, Centenary is on record as having extended financial services to sections of society that were technically forgotten by other financial institutions. From farmers to other rural business pockets, this bank continues to promote financial inclusion. In the advert of digital financial service, Centenary bank has been a pioneer of mobile banking with centemobile and recently an integration with mobile money to enable bank push/pull to and from mobile money.

MTN Mobile Money
MTN Mobile Money is an electronic wallet service that enables customers to send and receive money anywhere. MTN Mobile Money has managed to bridge the gap to the traditionally unbanked. MTN Mobile Money service has taken financial inclusion to millions, who would otherwise be left out by conventional financial institutions and services. In 2014 MTN installed and launched an improved multimillion dollar mobile money platform that saw access channels moved from just Sim Tool Kit (STK) to add USSD. The service stability and user experience of the millions of customer has since seen a big boost.  MTN has additionally launched integrated services majorly with different banks enabling a seamless movement of funds between mobile money and the banks.

Stanbic Bank
Stanbic Bank is the largest bank in Uganda by assets and market capitalization. Stanbic as the holder of the MTN Mobile money trust account has had a major play in financial inclusion by being an enabler digital financial services that need a trust account. Stanbic Bank has additionally had its deep dive in delivery of mobile and internet banking through its own products.
